Receiving it in weekly instalments was the major benefit. This made it easier for me to sit down once a week and open the email then put it into practise. It was also affordable. Being a single operator salon my cash turnover isn’t huge so paying a small fee monthly was very achievable.
So to the content itself……. Well I’ve been receiving mail from you for a few years now and have always tried to follow your tips, but it wasn’t until I received it in a simple format, that I actually was able to put it all to good use and see results. I can’t say I have seen amazing results with any one of your templates etc, but I will say I have seen great results with the combination of all.
Your ‘Rupert the Dog’ letters (to ‘lost’ clients) certainly grabbed people’s attention, and was a great way of getting my mailing list up to date, as well as regaining a few lost clients. I love the idea of using the answering machine to promote current package deals.
In summing up I guess the one major thing I have put into practise is making the salon more personal and making the clients feel like they are my ‘best friends’. I reflect this through my news letters and Facebook page as well as when they come into the salon. I have also gained the confidence in knowing when I put on a staff member (soon) that I will be able to fill her column and not have her sitting around doing nothing.
The only complaint I have is that the Lite program only runs for 21 weeks!

“In August 2007 I went a Worldwide Salon Marketing seminar and really enjoyed what I saw there. I decided not to take on Premium membership, I guess at the time I thought it was more money than I wanted to spend.Since that time I have been receiving marketing material from Greg and the team and I really connected with what they stood for. I have to thank you for this wonderful program. Thus far I have only put one ad downloaded from the Lite program to the test.
The ad cost me R5000 to put in to a home makers magazine that gets distributed to 10 000 households. Their designer changed it by adding colour and putting it in a different layout but it looked beautiful. And guess what!!!!! THEY FORGOT TO PUT IN MY PHONE NUMBER!!! I was horrified, that was to me the end!! I just spent R5000 that I did not have on something that was supposedly FOOL PROOF and I or they made such a massaive error.
I was so depressed until, lo and behold the phone calls started flooding in. We offered the special to 18 people and this was filled within the first 5 days. I could not believe that people would take the trouble to look up a phone number to make use of a special. I always thought people were too lazy to make that effort.
Well to my surprise I have now sold 28 of (that package) and phone calls are still flooding in for it as we ran it again, in the same publication for free as it was a printing fault.

“I have had great success using the templates and information in the Lite program.
Firstly I printed out the Hollywood Woman flyer changed it a bit to suit my Beauty Salon’s needs – for example I added as part of the pack an eyeshadow which I had heaps of old stock sitting around but however this has brought a whole new range of customers who are now interested in my make up! I letterbox dropped 2000 of these flyers and sent out 300 newsletters containing the special to my clients and put up the posters in the salon.
This pack actually only takes us about 1 hour because the value is also added in the eyeshadow quad so now my therapists and myself are making about $99 per hour each and we are non stop with these packs .
I have also signed up to a bulk SMS pack on the internet and put my database into it so I can quickly send SMS to my clients. Last week we looked at the next day and had a few gaps so we sent out a SMS titled Friday Frenzy CALL NOW with a great deal. Within 1 second – seriously I’m not joking ) the phone started ringing non stop. Overall the Lite program has generated so much business for us and given me so much more time as I now don’t really have to spend all of my day off thinking of ways to generate more business.
