This is am best idea. To do marketing by giving more and more options to running customer.
Like You can make new scheme for running customer and to new one too.

Trushar, I have not the slightest idea what on earth you’re talking about.

Hmmm…. I have no idea what either of them are talking about, I think I’m missing something? I hope I don’t get running clients or elephants in my salon.

What a great IDEA! I just love that I have a chance to be involved with this great marketing strategy. Just I have to translate everything on my own language, but hey it really doesn’t matter, customers loved your adds and I loved the MINI Course.
With this new Inner Circle Lite I’m hoping to make my new opening salon work like no other salon in Town.

FANTASTIC idea!!! Maybe have a small section that caters for sole operators – eg, nail tech, mobile beauty therapist etc, as info on this topic is a little hard to come by. Can’t wait to see what WSM comes up with.

      Greg says:
Karen, there’ll be plenty of stuff for sole operators. In fact, most of it. ALL of the strategies, tools and techniques we’ll be releasing in the Lite program will be adaptable for sole operators, home operators, mobile operators etc.
Remember, the Emotional Direct Response Marketing we teach is not some weird thing that only applies to BIG salons. ANY salon or spa professional can use this.

Fabulous concept for cash straped salon owners who want an affordable introduction to your sales strategies.

With the current economic situation, I think offering an alternative plan for salons that don’t have big pocketbooks is a win win situation.

Hi, I would definitely like to see something catered to mobile beauty owners, make-up artists, and those who sell their goods online. People starting at the very bottom, with little or no customers. Also, anything on building membership sites would be great.

P.S. I think what Trushar was saying, is she wants a system to help keep “current” clients, and ways to attract the new ones also :)

I think you will get what you pay for. If you want it cheap it wont cover all areas you need. I used to be a small operator. Since I got the kit, (only 4 or 5 wks)it has changed my life. Yes it’s my life. I have more direction on what I want to concetrate on. We now have two full time staffs and 2 casual. Plus myself. The toolkit has so much + the support from the team. I now have more time to concentrate on expanding the business. Yes from 60 m2 shop, we are moving to apprx 150 m2. Thanks Greg and the team. Our income only increase 20% but it’s only the begining. We will make you proud.

Don’t think. Just do it. It’s is the best time to make the start. Economic crisis???? I think people spend more if you know how to market them like in the toolkit and with support. You are not alone.

      Tina

      Greg says:
Thanks Tina. Funny, but there are still vast numbers of salon owners out there who see anything they spend on marketing – including the Inner Circle program and the Essential Salon Owner’s Marketing Toolkit – as an annoying expense, something to be resented, rather than an investment (and a tax deductible one at that) to be cherished, as an investment in say, a rising share market would be considered something to be cherished.
That’s an attitude problem we’re not capable of changing, and frankly have zero interest in changing. We’re only interested in salon owners who see their business as exactly that, a business, rather than a mere job where they eke out a living (just barely), working frantically ‘on the tools’, unwilling to take the action necessary (and make the temporary sacrifices necessary) to get out of the hole.

Having said that, I am prepared to develop and launch the Lite program in such a way that everything in it is automatically delivered, once a week, billing is automated, and Lite members can come and go as they please. Whether they actually use the tools, strategies and online video tutorials we provide is up to them. But we won’t be entering into discussions with Lite members, writing their material for them, coaching them, cajoling them, holding their hands. That kind of support is reserved for premium Inner Circle members, all over the world.

I recently attended the conference on the Gold Coast and very much enjoyed the content, giving me lots to think about for my business.
I own and operate and LOVE my business as a very successful nail technician, steadily growing my business through word of mouth, (my only form of advertising at present), I have counted 39 new clients from August 2009 to beginning of Nov 2009)!
I cannot afford the whole package at present but would truly love to be able to access pertinent material on advertising and marketing to suit my particular business type and needs.
I look forward to what you devise.
Thanks again for this opportunity to contribute.

I’m another vote for strategies for single operators – I’m a nail tech working form home – I barely break even at present trying to compete against the walk in shopping centre and can’t even think about the inner circle price. I only offer one service – so I don’t have other beauty things to value ad or entice. I need advertising idea that work for what I do. I don’t need staff training, just ideas for getting and keeping customers :)

I just wanted to say that i think this is a great idea for some salons to get into the program, even if its less info. it will give smaller businesses an insite to the great benefits of the inner-circle program. Then perhaps the option to upgrade to the full kit would be a great idea.
i would say to anyone – get the full thing it will give you more tools for getting your business the business you want/need.
I have had the kit for a few years now – i dont use it all the time as most of the time we are really busy, but when things drop slightly I grab the kit and get to it. :-)

Is the program going to cater for stand alone hair salons that don’t offer beauty / spa treatments?

Greg says: yes it certainly will.

    15. Greg Milner

      Nov 16th, 2009

Hi folks, lots of questions, here are some answers:

      1) Yes you’ll get plenty of material for stand alone hair salons, as well as spas and beauty salons.

      2) Yes, you’ll be able to use many of the strategies and templates for kids marketing, to drag their parents in as well.

      3) Nail techs – don’t you guys do nail art, the really ‘out there’ stuff? That’s marketable. Plus there’ll be ways you can get new clients re-booking, we have a couple of excellent strategies to keep them coming back again and again.

Remember this: you need a great MESSAGE, a TARGET MARKETthat’s small, manageable, easily accessible, and some kind of MEDIA to deliver that message to that market.

If you get bent out of shape and all focussed on ‘but my business is different…’ then you’ll never get out of the rut.

ALL businesses are the same when it comes to marketing. Keep an open mind, and ask yourself ‘HOW can I make this work for my business’ rather than “this won’t work for my business.”

Great Idea. I did not qualify due to being in South Africa and LOVE my business but cant seem to ever take time off as ALL the clients just want me. so I am working a 7 – 6 day at the moment and spending no time with my kids. I need to advertise for my staff to be able to build clients but dont know how to start doing it as we have grown by word of mouth brilliantly the only problem is they keep asking for me that way, this is very good but I can only do so much!! As you can understand I have so little time for anything els that even reading a blog has to take a step back. That is why I would like a straight forward easy to follow advertising idea that works and does not take a lot of time. I have a fabulous talented husband that does all my webs desighing and flyers pricelist etc but no marketing experience on both of our sides so WOULD LOVE HELP ASAP!!!

    17. Juanelle

      Nov 16th, 2009

Another thing – How can we get this in South Africa. As I said my husband is a briliant and very talented man he does web desighning and business card flyer and pricelists partime but is a technical Illistrator and wiring diagram specialist for a German company, and is looking for a part time business to look into. South Africa is a wonderful country and has a lot of potential how can we get into launching this and advertising it. There is a beauti salon almost on every corner in my home town that could really learn alot from this marketing package, and I would love to be able to help others with my biggest problem here locally. This is a wonderfull idea and even though I dont know to much of the inner circle Idea it sounds as if it is very succesfull. Please help us down here we could really start something fabulous!!

      God bless

I am excited about this new option because some of us have to crawl before we can walk so to speak. I am hoping that it bring the results that so many of your other clients have been able to enjoy.

      Hi Greg and team,
I am so excited with being able to download my mini starter kit and I hope also that I will be disciplined enough to give my business just 1 day to implement the strategies.
I have a pending issue. We have been contracted to do a film-doc (great because we set the rate and they were happy to pay for an assistant too) and within 1 week of recieving this contract I was asked to be hair and makeup artist to a new TV programme. The 2ndary are claiming they can’t afford my initial fee(which is me and a stylist /day rate), so I had to come with a price for a rock bottom price. I feel like I have been cheapened and have to negotiate lower staff rates, but in the long term and what this could provide for my business name it may mean I have to bite the bullet for another 13 weeks.
Can you advise about this and what rate approxitmately or if anyone else can lend a helping hand it would be appreciated.

      Greg says:
Well, it depends on how much value you place in being able to market yourself in future as ‘Make-Up Artist to the Stars’. It could be a good USP for you.
If you’re going to accept a lower fee for this, then I would be screwing the film company down, on paper, with a legally-enforcable agreement that they provide you with testimonials (from the director or production company chief), preferably on video, give you copyright-free photos of you doing make-up for the actors etc etc, and a release that allows you to use this material in any and all of your future marketing. If they don’t agree to that, then it’s no deal on the lower price, and you walk away.

      Hi
As above really hoping you can come with something to assist a fledgling home based part time business, can’t afford your main package. I would love to get the ‘business’ going to kick the main corporate day job. Hope you can help?

    22. Michael

      Nov 17th, 2009

Will we need / be shown how to create a USP?

      Greg says:

Michael, interesting question, ‘will we NEED a USP…?’

If you’re in business, any business, you need some kind of Unique Selling Proposition, a compelling answer to the question ‘why should I do business with YOU as against your competition?’

Key word here is compelling – most businesses ignore this basic requirement, default to same-same, me-too advertising messages, never really ‘get it’ – that prospects are looking for difference, they’re not looking for ‘better’.

Yet when I ask salon owners why I should do business with them, they almost ALWAYS tell me a version of ‘well, because we give really good service/we’re highly trained/very professional’ blah blah blah until My Eyes Glaze Over.

NOT good enough. If you do NOTHING else to market your business, you MUST develop a compelling USP. And yes, in Lite membership we’ll be dealing with this issue and giving you some instructions and formulas that’ll help you do that.

      Regards, Greg.

Greg, when will this Lite version finally come out?? I have been hanging on your site for over a year now, hoping for something like this.. So when is the Grand Reveal???

      Greg says:
Marie-Christine, we’re working on a January launch. Burning the midnight oil, there’s a LOT of content to sift through, let alone the automated delivery and billing systems to set up. But fingers crossed, late January.

This is music to my ears! I have just taken the plunge and resigned from my ‘regular’ job to persue my dream of working full time from home. I’ve been getting the WWSM newsletters for a while now, and find them fabulous but as a small business physically can’t afford the full Inner Circle package (yet :) ). This will be a wonderful stepping stone to becoming a future inner circle member and I can’t wait!!!

Hi, I agree with Cheryl. I am just finishing construction of a purpose built home salon and need to build up a clientele. Can’t wait to see what the Lite program has to offer.

    30. Muriel Davis

      Nov 29th, 2009

I hope I can afford the lite program as I have a Salon next to my home which has disadvantages being away from shopping malls, working by myself.

I have done so many business programs but the marketing was lacking definate direction, I just received ideas of what I should write = nothing worked.

I am already on your list I believe for information on the new program.

      Dec 6th, 2009

will this lite program be simlar to the salon marketing starter pack that can be bought on line and downloaded and when will it be available?

Greg says: Ann, it will be much more extensive than the Starter Pack, and delivered in bite-size chunks weekly beginning late January/early February…

    32. Donna Sillett

      Jan 11th, 2010

Hoping there are some usefull things for people starting a new salon, since we don’t have a database of clients to mail out to. We have to re-launch the salon, as we have moved to a totally new suburb, with a new gorup of staff, so our regulars have gone along with our old staff, and the new salon will be too far for the old clients.

      Greg says:
Donna there will be tons of stuff useful for a start-up salon.
