For some reason, I love coming to the Gold Coast.

Yes, the high-rise apartment towers and 5-star hotels glittering in the sun along miles of white beach are all shouting ‘Look at Me!’  It’s loud, neon-lit and trashy, but in a strange way the place has magnetic energy.

Michelle and I and WSM team members Erin Wong, Annette Gomez and Marty Owens are here for the final Road to Riches seminar of the year (for Australia anyway) and the metallic sounds of the Gold Coast’s never-ending construction boom are drifting in through the door to the balcony of our 14th floor suite at the Sofitel Hotel.

Another nine salons & spas joined the Inner Circle program and each took home a copy of the Essential Salon Owner’s Marketing Toolkit® yesterday. They’re well and truly on their track to success, no doubt inspired by glowing reports from some of our veteran IC members who attended the seminar and the Members Only closed-door networking event that followed.

There must be something in the water in Queensland. The place seems to have an entrepreneurial zing about it. Take five-year veteran members Keenan & Kellie Rout, who flew down from far-north Townsville where they’ve just opened their second Emphasis hair salon….

Layle Ward of Bounce Hair Body & Beauty reports a similar experience.
